Distance Education Experience
Designed to accomodate your demanding work and home life, the post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy program's virtual classroom is the center of the learning experience. It is here that you will access course information, communicate with your instructor and fellow students, post assignments, resources, and ideas, and view grades. Technology such as video-conferencing, web cameras, wikis, blogs, podcasts, and simulations will be used throughout the program to achieve real-time interaction that characterizes on-campus face-to-face educational experiences.
Small Groups
Your learning experience is enhanced by our cohort model. You will be part of a small group of about 10-15 other students (a group we call a cohort) and you will be paired with a peer partner. Your instructor will help build your cohort into a learning community ready to engage in discussions of current issues and hypothetical scenarios. Your instructor is an experienced professional who understands both the workplace and the academic environment and will successfully guide your cohort through the programs.
