Judgment Curriculum

A long-term goal of the BU-PT3 grant is the design and implementation of the Judgment Curriculum (JC), an innovative set of web-based curriculum resources focusing on issues of judgment in teaching and learning. The content of the JC includes issues of judgment in all the disciplines as well as pedagogy and teacher preparation. From its inception,the JC has been designed to stimulate the study of and practice of making judgments for both teachers and students. The JC focuses on strengthening the skills of discernment, probing understanding, and critical thinking in the context of demanding academic content. Organized in a question-driven format, the JC leads to exercising judgment by both its users and its authors across the process of teacher preparation and all subject areas and grade levels.
